Extraction Description : Steam distilled from the plant. It is a true balsam, collected as a dark brown or amber solid mass.

Scent Description: Has a rich sweet balsamic vanilla like scent.

Peru Balsam Essential Oil. Large tropical tree, very fragrant flowers, pea-like and yellow seed pods. Has warming comforting quality, useful in stressful situations. May be used as an inhalent (2/3mls. in an old basin with hot water and a towel placed over the head). Can also be used with carrier oil in a chest rub.
